1. Aftermarket - £150
2. Second-hand - £200
Site Tip - as with the Bridge Spoiler try and source second-hand versions from a 968, 993 or 996, but be aware that 944 bases will be required. Members report that some aftermarket versions are not finished to a high standard, with reports of the mirror glass secured by Velcro and non-electric operation. For fitting information contact 944 Register Secretary Martyn Cockram or Nik Mendel via the forum.
1. Aftermarket - £70 - £120
Site Tip - OE overmats are not available for early model 944’s. Go for a contrasting colour binding and logo.
1. Aftermarket - £50 - £100
Site Tip - be aware that the colour coded dials are not complete replacements. They are affixed by a self-adhesive backing, once in place they are extremely difficult to remove without causing damage to the original dial faces.
1. Aftermarket - £20
Site Tip - these protectors are affixed to the sills by self adhesive pads, when fitting hold the protector at a 45 degree angle to the sill and then lower into place. This will ensure that all of the self-adhesive pads have a firm fitting and the protector will be parallel to the sill shape.
1. OPC - £125
2. Second-hand - £75
Site Tip - get some, they look great on all wheel versions.
1. Aftermarket - £15
Site Tip - if you can’t find a set that is a match for the vehicles colour then try the clear versions.
1. Aftermarket - £20 - £25
Site Tip - better on Turbo and S2 models that have Porsche embossed callipers as standard. For preparation and painting advice contact 944 Register Secretary Martyn Cockram via the forum.
1. Aftermarket - £125 - £300
Site Tip - most owners go for a 3-spoke design that is similar in style to the OE found on 968’s. Ensure that the cost of the wheel includes the appropriate boss. To ensure correct alignment, before removing the old steering wheel, mark the instrument panel trim with the old wheels centred position. When the old steering wheel is removed take the opportunity to apply electrical contact oil or grease to the copper coloured horn switch that is connected to the steering column.
1. Second-hand - £200
Site Tip - very rare to find a set, so snap them up quickly if you find some. Swap the lock tumblers with your existing handles to maintain one key for all functions. For fitting advice contact 944 Register Secretary Martyn Cockram via the forum.
1. Aftermarket - £125
2. Second-hand - £100 - £200
Site Tip - the aftermarket versions do not have the black rubber gaskets that protect the rear quarter panels and allow the valance to flex when under load, so look for a good second-hand example. Fitting is best left to a competent bodyshop as the valance is secured from inside the boot and is difficult to align correctly.
