Tech Tip 24 - Heater problems

There are two heater "flaps" on each side of the heat exchangers. One is for the passenger, and one for the driver. The heat is then blown down the sills by a blower in the engine bay, then transferred as per your heater controls to feet / head on each side. Problems:-
1) The flap has stuck on cold.
2) The flexible pipe has broken / not connected / blocked at either the heat exchanger to flap, or sill to heater ( just by the A pillar). Fix:- 1) Remove flexible pipe - be very careful - they break very easily and are around £50.00 each to replace - you can then get your fingers in where the pipe went and see if the flap moves. If it moves then it's a pipe somewhere.
2) Find the bad pipe. Hope this helps Chris H
