the writing on the side of the brake fluid filler cap reservoir on my lhd 89 C4 says "use fluids certified to DOT 4 standard only", or words to that effect. The writing is small and quite difficult to see, but is quite clear and repeated on two sides. Best wishes Mark G - 2nd July, 2000
