Stone Chips

Hi there, when touching in I use a fine paint brush and try to fill the chip not paint over it,after it drying overnightI i use t -cut to "flat it down" on red you can do this very successfully ,then I polish it.
Sometimes you can get it almost invisible from a couple of feet away. Hope this helps,in short don't use the brush that comes with the stick use a fine one and use less paint.Cheers MarkK

A chap at Northway's advised me to use a cocktail stick to apply the paint....that way you can get the paint inside the edge of the chip. Regards, Leigh. 89 944 2.7 - Guards Red

It may be of interest - at Halfords, you can buy a special touch up kit. Unfortunately, it doesn't come in the Porsche Alpine White, but it is available in the VW Alpine White. This kit has a VERY fine paintbrush, and an even finer metal nib - a bit like a cut-off hypodermic, but extremely fine. It's just the job for dealing with even very small chips, and the kit includes a set of minute preparation tools. Cheers....Steve
